First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List

I got a BeCool off ebay years ago. Its the direct fit 67-69 CAMARO/firebird.
It was not as wide as my original one but bolted up. I used the factory shround
and it dropped my running temps WAY down like 30+ degrees. Kevin Y> and I
discussed this a few years ago and decided I got what they advertised, but
really should have bought the big block camaro one and it would've been the
right size. I have pics if needed showing where the old radiator bolted up vs
the new one. Like I said it definately made all the difference and its HOT in
Texas.

The major problem is on the highway at 50 + mph when it gets to 235 degrees.
Around town, stop and go, it generally stays under 215 degrees. Not good but
acceptable.> Terry, The BeCool aluminum I am looking at is the cheaper version
which sells for about $300. The really nice version you mentioned is just too
high buck for me to justify. The price of a new 3 row reproduction is about
$300 also. A new 4 row is quite a bit more.
