If NAPA doesn't work out, I can check with snap-on. Actually I have experience with removing and installing the springs, but I never ran into the problem with the spring compressor before. Also, I had the car together with the engine in place and could use a floor jack under the lower control arm. The all thread might work, but I will first try a "store bought" compressor! Ensure it is good and tight and there is grease on the threads, It wont compress much but it wont let it fly apart either. Most spring compressors will not go into the shock hole to connect it, I have on from snap on that works. Cant emphasize enough safety here....... Get someone with experience to come help, this is not an easy task..... Just Smile...
