my S-10 is still chugging along with 190K on it now.>>>>>>
tis a sad day.
my 94 suburban has 185K+. never pulled a valve cover. no trans or
differential work original drive train. 15 years of michigan winters. still
pretty in black.
most of the 92-96 GM trucks I see locally have 200-300K. one buddy with
275K miles says the trans is starting to slip and power steering pump is
leaking. he pulled many a trailer a lot of miles. so it's time for him to
buy a new GM pick-up. someone will keep it going with readily available,
affordable parts. another buddy has 400K+ on his 92 with original drive
train. says it's starting to burn oil and rust is becoming a problem. keeps
it as a reliable back-up to his newer chevy pick-up with 200K miles and
other GM vehicles he and his family drive daily. another local welding
business fleet has some early 2000 GM pick-up with 400K miles. I could go
on but...
you won't catch me behind the wheel of a tundra. the suburban can pull a car
hauler with a GTO or Bird home to my garage any time. it rarely breaks and
repair parts are quite reasonable.
