Joe and Hugo, Thank you for the info on your stock mounts working fine. I
can use that $100 for something else that's for sure. Anybody have any
thoughts on using a stock clutch kit for a 455 to Muncie 4 speed? Should I
be upgrading there or will stock do fine. And no, I will not be dumping
the
clutch at 5 grand :-)
just cruising and maybe the odd pass just for fun.

I was going low 12's with a 428 using slicks and stock motor mounts.
Unless you too are using slicks and a trans brake, or plan on dumping
the clutch at 5 grand. You'll be fine.
You will spin the tires long before you stress a mount
