I think the missing of exactly such a repository is the main obstacle for collecting such data. I'd be willing to provide an anonymous FTP upload directory and maintain a collection of everything that arrives there - at least one thing where I could serve the community. I'd suggest that contributions should consist of any sort of archive files that contain everything which is necessary to define the object and it's location .... like e000n50/e006n51/3056458.stg plus: e000n50/e006n51/EDLN.btg.gz for EDLN.
