We already _have_ the hosting ;-)
To me your intention looks quite similar to what we are currently building.
We designed our repository in a way that you can easily replicate if
the load gets too high - but the models are small and I currently don't think this will happen too soon ....

It's currently sitting on the end of my DSL line, which is fine for testing, but it'll be moved to somewhere with a bit more bandwidth before it's "live".
