FANTASTIC!!!!! I can see where you need to model actual bridges :)

This looks great...

So the new terrain is an AC3D model sitting in the correct lat/lon 
position??? Or am I missing something?
If its this easy then I can get SRTM meshes for NZ and start making 
Christchurch and Wellington LOOK like they should....especially Wellington, 
so many damn hills :)

Email me off list if you want as I would love to hear more about the 
techniques you have used.
