A good idea would be to also digitally remove the bridges from the texture, 
otherwise it'll look odd.

Perhaps the converter is exagerating the vertical relief? This is a common 
technique as on a monitor lots of details don't normally show. Might be 
something to check.

I'm working on that too, I'm still working on my Redcliffe Airport and local 
area buildings. I'll send you a copy when I get them looking anything but
