In the Park Inn (a hotel model in Jon's DB) I used 2 different objects with 
different textures at the same place, switched via the .xml file. IIRC there 
also was a post of Melchior (long ago), that one is able to change the 
material of objects at runtime. So probably lighting up an object is just a 
matter of increasing the objects emission property.
