This still tells me that something is up. The C172 should be farily easy to fly even for a noob pilot at least once you are in the air. Once in the air you should be able to trim it up and then let go of the stick and only have it wonder gradually from it's current flight path. Once trimmed you should be able to hold it on a given flight path by touching the stick every 10 to 15 seconds to make very minor corrections. If you can't do that then either there is something wrong with your trimming techneque or there is something wrong with your stick (or both). > > This is Saitek Cyborg EVO Force - could it be the force part since > Flightgear doesn't support force and MS does causing issues - or does > FlightGear support force??? There was a research project that published a paper about a force feed back module that they created for FG. The paper is available on the net. But I don't think this has been integrated into the main developement line. To find the paper google "Back of the Envelope" FlightGear "University of Naples". You will find a 4 page paper from the JSBSim news letter dated April 2006. > > Thanks for the flying help. > > bk ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: The Future of Linux Business White Paper from Novell.
