Ya, the inability to do searches with the NNTP news readers
is an omission on my part; never got around to implementing
the NNTP "XPAT" command into newsd.
(You'll notice your news reader may print an error about
"NNTP: command not understood" if you try to do certain kinds
of searches on the FLTK or CUPS newsgroups.)
The web interface covers this, fortunately.
I'll submit that as a newsd RFE, and either Mike or myself
will add it.
