Dear All,
I've been trying to setup K12LTSP for a test drive at the
laboratory of my university but I'm getting some problems. I hope somebody
will help me to fix it out.
I installed the K12LTSP (blended with Fedora Core) and configured
the LTSP package according to the K12LTSP documentation. I checked out the
ltspcfg command, and everything (DHCP, NFS, TFT etc) was just ok and
running. When I tried to boot a client, the XServer seem to crash because
there is no display. After a long wait, I finally got a grey screen with a X
cursor on it. When I checked out the K12LTSP documentation, I found it
stating that in such conditions, the XSERVER service (gdm, kdm, xdm) may not
be running or listening on the 177 port. But when I checked the server
(obviously through ltspcfg), I found that gdm is ok and listening on the
same port.
I'm confused to where to move on with the LTSP testing. I hope I'll
get some help from you ppl around in the community. Thanks in advance.
