There is another face painting company in my are that I used to work with. We had a falling out, due to them giving me work and constantly taking it away, and I was essentially forced out, and have been on my own for about a year.
Here is the problem. Every time I find another painter to work with, the other company finds out who they are, lies about me to them, and steals them away because they have more jobs to offer them. This has happend EVERY time I find a new painter. I am at my wits end. I am trying so hard to not do anything as unethical as they are doing, but I can't grow my business because every time I try to they interfere. In addition, because my website went to the top of the search engines, they now advertise themselves as me EVERYWHERE. They put my website name first, then a variation, and them their own site in the titles of their listings. Is there anything I can do about this? Or better yet, are there any painters here in South Each Michigan who would like to refer work back and forth? Fortunately, I have two painters who know the truth about what happened and I don't have to worry about them, but sometimes I need 4 or 5 painters. I could really use some help with this.
