Curlie, I tried to see your company website, look at what was popping-up and educate myself on the situation before giving you advice. There's no profile and this is your first post to a Google group. While I sympathize with your situation, please understand that we are a sharing group of artists who want to help each other and we're open about ourselves and our companies.
I think you need to contact the painters they took and ask them why this company feels the need to use your company name. You can send the other comapny a "cease and desist" letter on using your company name, as they're falsely advertising their association with you. I suggest taking pictures of their signage. If they attempt to use your name at a festival or puiblic event, go to the event coordinator and them them they're fasely advertising themselves as someone they're not. If they still don't stop, sue them in small claims court. It's not that difficult and you don't need an attorney. You WILL need to educate yourself on the process and be prepared. You don't have to stoop to unethical tactics, but you do need to arm yourself for a fight. Kat B.
