How do you change the paper colour? By changing the paper in the printer. VBG!
Except for the suggestion changing windows settings, all the artifices to change the background colour have the same danger. If you don't set it up with a colour that is set to not print, you'll end up with background colour printed on the entire page up to the printer margins. IMO, don't do it. Eric L.
