I sent the sysctl booting with 12GB.

11GB + 1023MB is bad, 11GB + 512MB is fine. It failed within a couple minutes. I'd rather not split hairs and find out which amount of megs breaks it.

But I noticed when it was failing, active_bpages was increasing, every other time it's zero.

Using 10GB seems fine, but get's a lot bounced.  The connections stable and

Bouncing is fine. Why bouncing is broken in the ath driver, I don't yet know.

Sounds like I need to acquire a machine with 32GB RAM. Sigh.
