It's fatal from the perspective of shared pixmaps, but it's trapped and
handled cleanly.  You should be getting a "can't handle shared pixmaps"
error in addition to the pixmap error.  If not, then there's somethine
else wonky..  (We could add an adding additional X error handler that's
silent... but it's pretty trivial)
