XML is a major force, coming into its own. the big five [or is it down
to four yet?] accounting firms have supported a DTD for XML for eCommerce.
EDI [the old VAN-based model] is quickly moving towards XML.
my two cents: PHP is a building block for those of us wanting to move
to XML. in fact, XML could very well be "the next big thing."
