I think in your situation then the solution would be: $149 - cost of CD $25 - cost of ftp'ing software (RPM and skel) contained on CD to remote server $5 - installation performed on server remotely via SSH
Alternatively you may produce an RPM yourself from the available source, generate a suitable skel yourself and save that initial cost of the CD. The intention of the bootable installation CD is to provide a very simple non-technical installation. That was the brief. You are after a different distribution medium - you just want the RPMs available for download. This is entirely possible, but levying a useful charge for it is problematic. Hence the CD. I too regard the current situation as unsatisfactory and hope to be able to make future RPMS available in the normal manner.
