I'm having the same problem. My background image is visible in acrobat, but when I impose the file 4up using the template I created in FPImposter all the static images and info vanish and all I'm left with is the variable data. I'm still combing through the manuals, and I see a blurb stating that Fusion Pro only deals with variable information, but I have a hard time believing there is not an option to keep the static background information. There is even a box "Surpress static PDF background in composition." It is unchecked when I compose the file, yet my background still vanishes.
