We have had this problem for a while now. Occasionally we receive a totally blank imposition with the exception of the crop marks, but most often the static browse image is dropping out of the impo leaving only the versioned template information.
We are using FusionPro Web and upload templates to the Printable Manager. Our impositions are created using QuarkXpress exported to a pdf template. The template is uploaded to the Printable Manager and applied to the versioned item. It is almost guaranteed that when we order multiple pieces at a time to do a proof test that one of them will have this problem. So we've gotten into the habit of only ordering maybe two pieces. Our static browse images generally are 2mg - 40mg. I have sent printable support the information before but sometimes we cannot leave the job in the Dashboard because we need to republish the template. Printable has said that we can "send back" the job in the Dashboard which reprocesses the information. This does work but is not a solution. I am certain that in our case there is nothing wrong with the template or the imposition because when the job is sent back in the Dashboard it picks up the static image. I'm only guessing but it seems the problem is happening on whichever server the imposition is being processed - some information is either being skipped or there is not enough memory to process multiple job/impos?? I have forwarded this thread to printable along with all of my information regarding the blank imposition (static image missing) that happened to us yesterday. Hopefully I'll hear back!!! Thanks, I just wanted to put my two cents in! Kathy Keizer -- Users of FusionPro Desktop have unlimited free email support.
