Hey guys -- I just want to put in a good word for buy.com, in case anyone is looking for references to online sources.
I've ordered several times from them in the past, and I've always had a good experience. They usually have the cheapest prices anywhere (I always check the web to compare before ordering!), they ship quickly even with the super saver rate, and if there's a problem with their order they make good (they screwed up one order I made -- and once they shipped me the proper item, I actually ended up with more than I had ordered in the first place). On my most recent order, I ordered four items on a Friday -- using the cheapest rate, which supposedly takes 7-10 business days. Well, I received the first item on Tuesday -- the second and third on Wednesday -- and the last item on Thursday. All exactly as ordered. Anyway, I'm a happy camper. Just wanted to share! And btw -- I ended up with the Seagate Free Agent hard drive. 1.5 TB, Firewire and USB. So far, I like it just fine. Unfortunately, unlike buy.com's fast shipping, I'm still waiting to receive some software I ordered from other sources -- so I haven't worked with the new Seagate internal drive yet, or tried one more time to resurrect my crashed drive.
