You can buy a DVD burner and use the sled to make one that fits Pismo.   Do
a google search to find the right models.   I think Fastmac might also still
sell them.  Pismo 400 is also quite fast and about $50-$75 cheaper than a
500 if budget is an issue.  If you max out RAM to 1GB I don't notice that
much difference for everyday computing.   You can also add USB 2.0 via
cardbus or use a cardbus wifi card for less than $20.
