Ars is starting to provide details.
Basically, apps pushed into the background are suspended. They can
request a little time, but not a lot. That means, for example, IMs
and other keep-alive based protocols will wither and die.
I guess I'm an evil SOB. I expect an 800 MHz+ device to be able to
do everything my 300-MHz Smurf can do. Or at least what my old
25-MHz Mac IIci can do. You know, like running *multiple* apps WITH
contexts, and not having them die when pushed into the background.
