I think it was that the processor wasn't seated tight. I opened it back up - pressed it in tight - re-assembled. Nothing at first. Then I held the power button down and it flickered. Then died. Waited a few mins. Held power button down again - heard a "bleeeeeep" sound. Scared the crap out of me - so I let go of it all. Waited. Suddenly Pismo started booting up as if normal. Is it okay now? Sweating freakin' bullets and not feeling too lady-like.
