I'm happy your Pismo's surgery went well! I think every one of us who've done any rummaging in our Pismos' guts have come upon the above. It really takes more force than one expects. But it is better to be gentle in the beginning and if that does not seat the chip, then more force can be applied. After all, we don't want to break anything.
