I got my PIsmo to connect via a Buffalo card to a g4 flat screen imac with airport card installed. The g4 is wired to Verizon DSL (slow version) via ethernet. I'm pretty sure all the settings are correct ; the Pismo connects via Safari to the net easily when cache is available but generally hangs and quits the internet. Network activity on the dock shows constant movement. Diagnostics, after long scan, took me to restart the modem, which solved the problem for 10 min. Then I entered too complex a site and everything reverted. Airport on the g4 right now is set at automatic. The pismo's 10.4 operating system is cloned from the imac. Anyone have advice?
