True, how is this relevant?

The threat is serious, but meritless morally and probably legally. When
people cave in solely due to fear of court costs, that's bullying. I doubt
there are decades of legal precedents regarding hyperlinks to pdf files.
The 2600/DeCSS case comes to mind, and doesn't seem particularly relevant
here. Some sites have sued others for linking, but that was generally for
passing-off by placing other sites' pages in frames so they appeared to
belong to a different site. Also not relevant.

I don't understand how their product is protected by this. And really, what
people want to know is not the "cutting edge" stuff, but more the obsolete,
unsupported equipment.

1) They bought it, they can (try to) fix it, modify it, blow it up, resell
it, whatever they like. Warranty voided, of course.
2) If they violated my patent, I would sue them. Otherwise, good luck to
them. No one is trying to clone Apple hardware from service manuals, which
aren't anything like blueprints one could manufacture one from anyway. The
only way Apple is "hurt" is that instead of throwing away old hardware and
buying new stuff, we're fixing it.

Is Apple damaged because I now know how to take the CMOS battery out
without breaking the plastic clip? That I know how to turn the blue handles
to access the motherboard of my Beige G3? (That did puzzle me when I first
opened it.)

Several people are apparently vitally interested in this subject from the
recent posts. And it is on the topic of this list. But it's getting
repetitive and if no new subjects are raised or personal attacks made I'll
try to let my case rest (since no one here has any way to influence Apple
anyway).
