well, again that's ridiculous, there's NOTHING in the service manuals that would be of great help to a competitor. they do not contain detailed "blue prints" or schematics, usually not even the block diagrams that are in the freely available developer notes. besides, the development and obsolecense cycle has become so ridiculously short that by the time someone could reverse engineer and develop a new product it would be obsolete anyway.
