But you have the right to re-sell that licence (& associated media) to someone else. If not, the company doesn't deserve your business & should be put out of business, unless such limitations are reasonable given the conditions under which you purchase the software (e.g. you get a significant discount because of such a limitation). I'm not sure what Apple's policy is on re-selling OSes that come with computers but any legalese preventing people from doing so is quite unreasonable (and, therefore to be ignored... laws and clauses made by and for corporations (without benefit to citizens) are to be ignored by real, live citizens (guess which side I fall on on the corporate "rights" debate)).
