And yet, just because he was able to put his thoughts into words with more
clarity than you could muster, he is no more correct than you.

You are both confusing the operating system as a product and its delivery
system the CD. The OS is nothing more than ether, it's machine code, not
some 15 cent CD vessel. Legal use of the OS should not be tied to the
possession of the CD. That does not mean that a single CD can be used to
install the OS onto more than one machine at a time, but neither does it
mean that possession of the CD is required to legally use the OS.

Think about this: What of the product that is purchased by download from the
internet? There is no actual CD delivered from the manufacturer, and yet the
use of the software is no more illegal than what I am saying.
