Hi Rick, Oh, dear! I think I'm no longer interested in the IBM 60 GXP! I'd known when I bought the 60 GXP that people were beginning to complain about the 75 GXP, but had the impression that the 60 GXP was the replacement that was supposed to fix those problems. Ouch, it looks as if the 60 GXP isn't reliable either. So now I'm thinking of a Western Digital Caviar Special Edition 7200 RPM, probably the 80 GB version, the Caviar WD800JB. I can't tell from the Western Digital website whether it'll run on a Mac okay, though. Do you happen to know whether this Western Digital drive will work okay in a Mac? With OS X too?
