That's exactly the problem--it's not starting up at all.  No bong (chime?),
no nothing (except the fan).  I can't open the CD tray, can't zap PRAM,
can't disable extensions, can't pass GO. ..nothing.

I also noticed that 2 of my RAM sticks (the ones closest to the lit up diode
I mentioned) were pretty warm.  I pulled them, no improvement.

The power supply seems to be OK--it gives 5 and 12 vdc on a couple of the HD
power plugs.  That's about all I know to test.

Any other ideas anyone?
