RE;I will voice my opinion only, over the years I noticed a strong pattern anout macs and that is it seems most people who use their macs for specific tasks and work, with little use of browsers and internet seem to report their machines as nearly troulble free for long periods of time, where as compared to someone like me on the web many hours aday just exploreing, seem to experience data corruption of and from the browsers almost constantly, resulting in an awful lot of problems with about everthing,so far for me a great help has been two drives mirored with software update,to easyily reload the maindrive with all settings in place as opposed to reloading everything from CD's and then resetting ,of course a better solution would be to burn the existing (working )system to a CD to reload the machine.I dont have one yet. just my observation best wishes
