via Apple Drive Setup and the drive will be recognized.  The drive doesn't
mount because it has ATA drivers on it , not SCSI. Otherwise, the file
format is the same, HFS or HFS+.

Are you sure that there will be no loss of data?  That would be very nice since
I'd like to move a drive from the motherboard to the Acard/133.   But I'd need
to back up everything anywayj ust to be sure.
