You have to update the virus definitions, or download them from Symantec's
site. Make a disk image of your Antivirus CD (or make another bootable cd
with Antivirus on it) and then install the new vires defs file into the
Antivirus folder.

The folder should now contain:

Guide Files
Norton AntiVirus
Norton AntiVirus Activity Data
Norton AntiVirus Library
Norton AntiVirus Macro Scan Lib
Norton AntiVirus Read Me
Norton AntiVirus Res
Norton AntiVirus Virus Defs
virscan1.dat
virscan6.dat

Did you try the "Live Update" application in the Antivirus folder of your
hard disk? Usually works for me.

I imagine that the web-based updater is for wintel only.
