It is indeed interesting to note that it is not a *shorter* cable which is 
required (as claimed in the above referenced web page) but the *right length* 
cable which is required for Slaves to work.

Those Master/Slave DT and MT cables which I formerly marketed on an eBay 
store have never had any problems reported, mainly because the length was 
engineered for the specific configuration, and every cable was individually 
tested at EIDE (16.67 MB/sec) *and* UATA/33 (33 MB/sec) before being shipped 
to any customer. The Beige operates at 16.67 MB/sec, maximum.

cables in finished goods inventory.
