image res and printer res seemingly are not the same bowl of rice. above 300 in the image file is wasted, but not so on printer output settings. the epson 2200 is simply amazing! i had a student use a 3.2 megapix camera image at high (not fine which is better) double the size of the out put but keeping the res (300) the same, and the grayscale image was stunning, black blacks, white white and broad gently smooth transitioning grays at 30"x20", it looked like a fine wet lab b/w print, no kidding, no rasterizing, none of that, and it was neutral grey across the board, even in the sunlight, go figure.
peace and out. michael-patrick ----- Original Message ----- From: "gfen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "G-List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, August 13, 2003 8:44 AM Subject: Re: Digital Camera Advice > On Wed, 13 Aug 2003, Hamlin Krewson wrote: > (I say, he says, I say, he says.. all deleted) > > No need to argue about this.
