Debate it with your professional lab techs, then. The Fuji Frontier, Agfa
D-Lab, and Noritsu digital minilabs are all 300 or so (I think the Noritsu
is 320). As for a Lightjet? I'm not so sure, however what the internet 
seems to be telling me is 406dpi, but optimally at 200 to 300dpi.

Who could see 3000dpi?   The point of these high resolution printers, Epsons
printing at 1400 or 2800 dpi is to get really small dot sizes which give better
continuous color.   I can't tell the difference when I print at 2800 or 1400,
really except the higher resolution takes longer and uses more ink.
