i've also taken apart mac keyboards, they are more or less "normal" or typical
of other designs, and there really isn't anything that hard about designing a
keyboard. designing good monitor electronics on the other hand is a hard thing
to do with out a long history of experience and designers who've been doing it
for a while.
Take apart a USB one, there is no circuit board ... I haven't seen a PC keyboard that has the circuits for each key in multiple layers of paper thin plastic, nor do I know why Apple chose to do that ...
