G4 Dual (mirror doors), 867MHz, 2GB, 260GB total storage,
10.3.2

As I mentioned in my first cry for help, I ran Disk
Warrior, which hung up at Step 6 (creating optimized
replacement directory)---against all impulses, I allowed DW
to chew on Step 6 for over 4 hours; whereupon it announced
that it COULD NOT continue with replacing the directory,
even though many critical values had been repaired. DW
suggested that I run the application again...and
again...and again, apparently in an endless loop.

Earlier this morning, Kyle suggested that I try Data Rescue
X, and this was a breakthrough, of sorts. DRX took some 45
minutes to locate about 77GB of recoverable files from the
volume, including the most vital files that I was trying to
salvage----only problem is that the content is screwy on
many of the files, and they will require tweaking. Again,
it seems essential that I add another storage device,
simply to store the recovered material. This is an ongoing
emergency, folks, so feel free to make additional
suggestions. And THANKS for the input!
