Hello Ray, I went round and round on this issue, believing it was hopeless - colleague Peter helped out. Finally, even though I was using an OEM Rage 128 ATI card, I went ahead and ran one of ATI's retail installers which added a couple of (apparently necessary) extensions, and - it ran! Yes, I too used the hacked v2.7 software, the hack worked out just fine. Of remark is that the machine I use it on has quite lower hardware specs than recommended at the hack site: Beige G3 desktop Rev B, 266mhz (OEM, not upgraded 3rd party), Apple 8x DVD drive, Rage 128 w/ the decoder card (which, according to the hack site, is meaningless, as the daughter card only kicks in on the 66mhz PCI slot on the B+W G3s). The software plays fine w/out a hitch, and that on double-size screen, and I can play around in the background as well. Impressive.
