I think you do have to use the Toast extensions and Apple's Apple CD/DVD
Driver.
I did this with a FireWire CD-RW and disabled the Apple Authoring Support
extensions, (Apple Authoring Support & Firewire Authoring Support) but not
the Apple CD/DVD Driver.
For Toast I enabled all Toast extensions, (Toast CD Reader, etc.).
This was for a Firewire CD-RW and looks like you have scsi burners, but the
principle is the same. You need the Toast extensions.
