Take a look at the above link, then post a "WTB" (Want To Buy) for the OS
you want.  

If you're anxious to get up and running, and want to do it on the cheap,
putting in a WTB for an 8.6 CD is prolly your best best.  However, if you're
not that pressed for time, you may want to check out OS 9.x.

To give you a ballpark price-wise, someone was offering 8.5 (with a free
upgrade CD for 8.6) for $20, shipped, on 11/6.  OS 9.1 went for about $30
recently.  Whatever you decide, be sure to ask the seller if the particular
CD they are offering will install on your specific machine; some CDs are
"machine specific."  It's usually better to get the "full retail" CD, but
these will go for more money, seeing as they can be used to install the OS
on *any* machine capable of supporting it.
