Hmmmm. Well, I know what USB is and that my Beige G3 doesn't have it. And I've heard of and seen plenty of discussion on this list about "Firewire," but that I can't claim any actual knowledge of or experience with it (those posts eluded me completely). I may be a few steps ahead of Daniel when it comes to Macs since I have nine and a half years on him as a Mac owner and user, but when it comes to the really technical stuff, no. So, in terms a simpleton (me) and also a Mac newbie (Daniel) can understand -- what exactly IS Firewire and what is so important about it? And why would my Beige G3 not have it (apparently it mustn't, if that's why I can run OS 8.1 on my G3 and Daniel can't on his), but his B&W G3 would? ~Yersinia. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
