<If you get an iPod, you'll want Firewire.>

I have no plans whatsoever to get an iPod -- it would take me centuries
to be able to convert my music collection, 99% of which is on vinyl and
cassette, to MP3 -- but still,

<Actually, the B&W came with a Firewire port. As I recall, it was the
first Mac to include it standard. It was also the last machine to
include ADB. And as far as I know, it was the only Mac to have Firewire,
ADB, and USB all standard.>

it sounds to me like I should have gotten a B&W instead of my Beige. The
ADB would've been essential to me because I didn't want to have to buy
another keyboard and mouse until the ones I have die (I bought a Beige
box, but I hooked it up to the same keyboard and mouse I used with my old
7200/120, and I even have a spare ADB mouse, too). However, having at
least the OPTION to automatically be able to use Firewire and USB like
the B&W would have allowed me to do without having to modify my computer
and buy "more stuff," in addition to having the ADB I needed immediately
is certainly not a BAD thing. Oh well, live and learn. ;-)
