Sorry Ken, there is no analog input on a G4 Digital Audio. No
kidding. I
looked and looked and read the manual. Then I bought the iMic to
input audio.
Bummer but true.
You're right. I did a little further reading, and it seems the machine
is geared to digital audio, not analog, as the name implies. There are
converters, though.
But, like I said, you're better off using a dedicated PCI audio card if
you're serious about audio. Analog and S/PDIF, best of both worlds,
hi-res sound (24-bit up to 192 kHz), low-latency recording, etc. It's
the way I'm going.
