Reseated, and did CUDA and opt/cmd/p/r for 5 chimes.

Its starting up, going to Desktop (I assume ... I can see the  
internet connection for it is up), but no video.

To shut down blindly, I discovered, control/eject plus return.

Now I did a Restart with C for the Installation DVD, and I get video.  
Doesn't that mean the card is ok, somethings wrong from the OS X  
partitions holding the system? or is something wrong with my hard drive?

What do I need to do?
