I removed my Sonnet USB/FW PCI card, and it looks like things are
Startup Happy again ...

AGP Slot1 GeForce4 MX
PCI Slot2 empty
PCI Slot3 M-Audio 2496
PCI Slot4 Rosewill NIC 10/100/1000
PCI Slot5 empty (sans Sonnet Tango USB1.1/FW400)

A G3-G5 List guru once suggested ... if you need more USB ports ...
just get a USB Hub.

Maybe I should listen?

Or now that it has started up, try placing the USB/FW PCI Card in
another slot ...

But, I think it conflicts with the M-Audio 2496 ... both are PCI-
bridge-multi-function type cards ...

Thanks for those who went through this with me ... maybe this is it ...
