Sounds to me like the PowerBook will be 100% competent for your work, although
the MacBook is a long way ahead as a machine

Can you see your requirements expanding at all?a G4 PB is still a very capable
machine at the end of the day but the MacBook is still a world apart

regards

Iain

Subject: PowerBook or MacBook

Hello,
I want to get some opinions from the experts.

sometime in the near future I will be purchasing a new notebook
computer. My main uses are internet applications, office utilities,
and web design.

I am between a used 15'' PowerBook G4 1.67Ghz with 2gb ram for around
700 - 800 with 10.4 or a new 15'' MacBook 2Ghz with 2gb ram for
around 1200.

Should I spend the extra 400? I don't know that for what I would be
using it for the new features on the MacBook are worth 400 bucks?
